Longevity Consulting Awarded Task Order Contract to Support United States Environmental Protection Agency Office of Emergency Management

Washington, DC – June 30, 2017 – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that it awarded Longevity Consulting a task order contract to provide support for compliance inspector training and compliance inspection support activities. The one-year task order, awarded under the Office of Emergency Management (OEM), represents Longevity’s continued success in providing risk-management solutions through a host of emergency preparedness services.

The Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA) of 1986, was created to help communities plan for chemical emergencies, and require the EPA, along with state and local agencies, to conduct compliance inspections at facilities regulated under the EPCRA. The OEM provides the required programmatic and inspector training, as well as advanced inspector training in various areas. In addition to offering training courses, the EPA supports compliance inspections by providing copies of required industry codes, as well as technical assistance to local inspections for more complex inspections.
