As Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Phelps is responsible for determining, specifying and maintaining the company’s information technology platform—including the development and operation of its networks, server systems, and cybersecurity.

Mr. Phelps brings 16 years of experience in network engineering to the firm, with a particular focus on customer relationship management and professional consulting services.

Prior to Longevity, he held the position of Senior Integration Engineer at Contact Solutions, Inc. During his tenure, he led the design and delivery of several enterprise-class network solutions—including the development of a Hosted Interactive Voice Response System that was distributed over redundant, load balanced sites, geographically dispersed, and leveraged by multiple customers.

Prior to Contact Solutions, Mr. Phelps worked for Resource Consultants Incorporated (RCI). While there, he led the Corporate Network Operations organization, which provided IT support for over 1500 clients distributed over 7 locations across the USA. Mr. Phelps and his team were responsible for the design, maintenance, and support for both the organization’s network and computer system infrastructure.

Prior to RCI, Mr. Phelps was a Senior Systems Engineer for Microstrategy, Inc., where he participated in the design, implementation, and support of a real-time, on-demand information distribution system that supported over 100,000 clients. This system ran on one of the world’s largest implementations of Dell servers running Windows NT and SQL Server at that time.

He graduated from Radford University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Operations Management.
